Winter is the season of the Kidney. The kidneys are the organ where our "essence", or Jing, is stored - basically our ability to reproduce and to live a long and vigorous life. Not only is Jing related to longevity, it also plays a role in many important markers of health, such as proper development of bones and teeth, fertility and reproductive health and many more. Signs that you may need to pay extra attention to this organ include prematurely greying hair, ringing in the ears, sore lower back, inability to hear clearly, or a general lack of 'joie de vivre'.

The emotion of this time of year is fear, so if you notice that you are worrying excessively or are plagued fear and anxiety, you may be experiencing a kidney deficiency.

Making changes appropriate for the winter will set you up for a much healthier season, and will greatly impact your ability to handle it. So, if you want to learn how to thrive this winter, please come join us. Bring a pen and your questions!
